This scrub cap covers the head of the most amazing Brain Surgeon in the world!! Because he is the best, he consulted with three other top brain surgeons, one at Northwestern, one at Hopkins, and one in New York City. They all agreed with his plan.... thank you Dr Ghaly! Because of you I was alive to have the children I always wanted, & again, 10 years later, because of you I will be alive to love them & watch them grow!

JOHN MCCULLUM

The father Edgar Martin native of Joliet had five level lumbar spine fusion at age of 80 years old. After surgery, He had never felt as better and as good for so many years.

The daughter, Karla convinced her husband John that he needs to come and see me and have something done.

After his three level surgery, John is doing very well after 8 years of suffering. No more shoulder, neck and arm pains and tingling ---

Blessed your hearts and blessed Our Lord Jesus

Respectfully

KAREN NOLAN AND CAROL NELSON

After surgery, No more pain in neck, shoulder and arms after 15 years of pains, no Tylenol no meds

Karen self referred herself to me since I treated her mother Carol and no single physician diagnosed her with her real spine problem. Both, Karen and Carol came today for their visit, carol, the mother had surgery one month prior to her daughter and likewise, no pain and no more medications for pain and full return to work non stop.

Great job Karen and Carol Nelson, "patient empower care"

Blessed your heart Karen and Carol and blessed our Lord Jesus.

Respectfully

MICHAEL PARENT

Spectacular free hand drawing of Jesus hand in the Cross

My patient is about to have a surgery and draw this beautiful art with pencil. It is the Holy Hand of our Lord Jesus in the cross with the nail.

He took two weeks, while he is suffering of severe pains waiting for the surgery, to do this drawing from his heart. He stopped drawing for ten years but felt the calling to do this painting.

This extremely touching Michael. Our God will do your surgery through His holy hand and we all are praying for you respectfully

CARMEN EISNEIDEL

My angels
What a loving couple!! So impressive, Josh a dedicated husband stayed by his wife while recovering from surgery day and night and learned all about caring after spine surgery. Wonderful family with five children and a dog. Carmen is absolutely phenomenal patient. So honored to care for you Carmen. Hope so many be as Carmen and Josh. Speed recovery and thank you to our lord Jesus the Healer.

JACK HARTFIELD

Incredible story about my patient Jack

Jack had complex brain aneurysm that I clipped in 2001. He also had a brain vessel tumor and by 2002, he was cured from both with the grace of our Lord Jesus, the True Healer.

He always remembered me. When I had to leave Joliet hospital against my will, he joined 50 patients and visited me. Many patients followed me and I never left or turn my back in my patients every when politics and hospitals tried to.

A week ago, the outside hospital called me because he was in the emergency room and he told him "call ghaly" and "no one else he will listen to".

Today he came and surprised me by an honorary Frame he personally prepared for me, so gracious jack and so touching. He named me "Best in the World" he made me cry---

I shared with him, the picture together back in 2001 and he was so happy and remembered. Incredible to say the least to celebrate over seventeen 17 years when I did his brain surgery.

No one to thank except my Lord Jesus the True Healer and my patients, thank you to you all and because of you I am and I will continue to be for you and advocate

Best surgeon ever, he really cares!!! Love you Dr Ghaly!!!!!

Bridget Seibert

Truly you are guided by God's healing hands and I cannot count the amount of people I mention your name to on a weekly basis. Thank you so very much, blessings.

Dr Ghaly does amazing work ... do not ignore that pain for too long and let Dr Ghaly recommend a course of action ... he changed the course of my mother's life 12 years ago this coming month, and countless other "hopeless" lives before and since then”

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

As this season of Thanksgiving approaches, I am moved to send you words of “thanks” for the undying dedication you hold for your profession and for every one of your patients. This year, at my family’s Thanksgiving table, we will speak of our gratitude for Christine’s having “found” you and for the guidance of God and his angels through your hands, throughout Christine’s brain surgery a year ago. Last year our prayers were for her safety through the surgery that would come the next day. This year, the prayers are that of Thanksgiving for where she is, a year later. As a mother, that day of worry will be forever etched in my mind, and also as a mother and fellow human being, you and your dedication will be forever etched in my heart.

Happy Thanksgiving Dr. Ghaly.

With Love and gratitude,

Annette Cozzi and Family

Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you again for doing my surgery and taking such good care of me. There should be more doctors like you! Have a great Thanksgiving.

Bonnie

Dr. Ghaly…. for your kindness and for being the doctor that discovered the tumor. Truth is, words can not express the gratitude I feel for having met you. You are a true blessing. May the wind always be behind your back.

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

I really appreciate the time you spent with me on the phone. Having you review my records and guide me gave me tremendous relief, a sense of comfort, and eased my concerns greatly. I began physical therapy and feel better already. I hope to meet you in the near future. Thank you so much again.

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

I wish you the Merriest of Christmas and a Joy filled New Year. I thank God for your compassionate heart, knowledgeable mind, and skillful hands. Before my surgery I could not have written this to you. I feel very humbled by this whole experience. I have learned not to take the smallest things we do in our daily lives for granted. God has also blessed me by teaching me these lessons and thru you showing his great love for me. I hope that some day I can in some small way help someone because of what I have been going thru. Only God knows what plans he has for me.

May God always Bless you!

Nancy Yount

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you seems so insignificant a word for what you did for me. But it’s all I have to give. I will be forever in your dust forever taking me on as a patient. You could have passed me on to someone else and you didn’t. For that I am grateful because I think you’re fantastic! So again I say thank-you.

Respectfully Yours,

Michelle

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

I just wanted you to know how much Mike and I appreciated your help. I have been to many Doctors that really only cared about making money. You were very sincere and believed in helping people. After having the surgery, I feel so much better. I have been running now for three weeks, and I feel great. God gave you a special gift. I am very thankful for that. You are a very special person. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Tracy, Mike, and Carson

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

You are a wonderful doctor. Thank you for being so kind and understanding of my feelings before and after surgery. I felt totally confident having you as my surgeon. You and your staff were wonderful to my husband while I was in surgery too. You always kept him informed every hour just as you said you would. I feel wonderful now. I no longer have the pain and discomfort I had before surgery. I feel that I am personally back to normal again. Because of that, my family is back to normal again too. I was most impress with so many things about you. You called me at home before and after surgery. You looked me in the eye every time we talked to each other. Your voice was calm and caring. You were always so positive and complimentary. Again, you are a wonderful doctor. I will never forget you.

Sincerely,

Carol M

Dear Dr. Ghaly:

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for all you have done for me. I know that without your amazing ability, devotion, and thoughtfulness throughout all of my problems, I stand a good chance of not being here today. There are not enough words that seem adequate to express my appreciation to you and your staff. You are an extraordinary human being and anyone would be honored to know you as friend, and to call you his or her Doctor. Please accept these comments for what they are. They are all true and heart felt. Sir, you and your staff have left a lasting impression on me. This is true professionalism at it’s best. You have set a standard that few can duplicate and none can exceed. Again, I am at a loss for the correct words to say so, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

May God Bless You Always,

Jack

Dr. Ghaly,

Words cannot express the “Hope” you’ve given to us, for my Dad’s future. After nine years of pain… to be weeks, days, hours away from paralysis…your intervention was heaven sent. Thank you from the deepest of our hearts for what you have done and for your unending care and concern for my Dad. Keep this dish filled with “goodies” to give away… as a symbol of the “Hope” you’ve given and filled us with!

Sincerely,

Michael & Barbara

Dr. Ghaly,

Gratefully yours,

Jackie

Dr. Ghaly,

You are truly a godsend. I truly believe that you saved our fathers/grandpa’s life on December 1st. our compassion for your patients and families is remarkable. Your positive demeanor and positive but honest communication is beyond reproach. Thanks for being so willing to go the extra mile. You are a gift to us and I’m sure to all of “your family”. You are a credit to the world of medicine.

Mark

Dr. Ghaly,

Words can’t say what you have done for me over the last few weeks. We really appreciate all your attention and kindness. Thank you very much.

Jed & Connie Parish

p.s. I can’t believe I’m alive much less progressed as far as I have. I thank you for that. I have been spreading the word about how wonderful you are. It isn’t that I didn’t trust you, the thought of having my brain worked on just scared me to death. God Bless you. You certainly have a gift.

Connie

Thanks for saving my life!

Dr. Ghaly,

I am extremely grateful and feel blessed that you were my surgeon. You are a man with tremendous compassion for his patients. My mother, myself and Pete will always feel indebted to you for your chosen path of healing others.

With my deepest appreciation,

Rita Heinz & Pete

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Even as a perfectionist, who turns over every stone to get the best; I don’t know the end result. It is this fear of the unknown that haunts me about Mom’s surgery. I have no doubt you are the best surgeon for Mom. She and I know she is in the best of hands… yours and God’s. We also know we have exhausted alternative treatments. We are aware of your limited resources and chose you over any University setting. Your office visits and phone calls were above and beyond any other physician. There was never any pressure or rush and you never failed to address any question. It was you who evaluated Mom thoroughly. I respect you for referring us to specialists to have more awareness and knowledge of Mom’s medical conditions. We are confident you now know her overall medical conditions better than anyone else. You have thoroughly educated Mom, my sister Mary, and myself on Mom’s diagnoses, alternatives, procedures, follow ups and risks. Mom is willing to accept these risks as she enters into surgery on Friday. We rest assure you will continue to call upon medical specialists, if needed after surgery. We know you are doing your very best on our behalf and we are very grateful.

Sincerely,

Karen Luebs

Dear Doctor Ghaly,

I simply want to thank you for the care, concern and for the love that you ALWAYS demonstrated towards my sister (Josephine Chapman). During your recent visit with her, as you could see, she had begun her transition. Please know that her final journey into the arms of Jesus was one of complete calm, quietness and serenity. I thank you for who you were to my sister. As you may have known, she highly respected, truly confided in and loved you. Many, many thanks to you for all you did for my sister.

I respectfully thank you,

Bonnie Walker

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you (from the deepest part of my heart) for doing my surgery. What a long, long day that was for you. I want you to know that I appreciate all the time you spent fixing me. It’s so nice not to have pain and tingling in my arm and hand any more. All the phone calls before the day of surgery – just hearing you say that you would “take good care of me” meant so much to me. And thank you for the phone calls during surgery to up-date my family on how I was doing and how things were going. (By the way) my family thinks you’re great! Thank you for visiting me in the hospital too. Just when do you sleep and eat? I don’t know how you do everything you do – are you sure there aren’t two Dr. Ghaly’s? Anyway, I just want to thank you for everything – hope I didn’t forget anything.

Sincerely,

L-handed (pain in the neck)

Bonnie

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

We are so grateful to you for everything you have done for our Mother (wife) in such a short time. Thank you so much and may the Lord bless you always.

The Rosa Family

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Thanks for giving me a 43rd Birthday! Thanks for giving me a 2nd chance at life. Things are going well for me. I think of you often and for what you did for me. I know I was blessed to have you for my doctor.

Love,

Connie Parish

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

I write you on behalf of my family/my sister, Josephine Chapman. As we were again met with very difficult challenges and choices recently concerning Josephine’s health, you again relieve us of an astronomical amount of stress. You sir, are living proof that God sends angels. You extended yourself, your gift, your time to my sister in ways that are completely unheard of in today’s society. As we prayed for strength, guidance, direction, protection…, Jesus Himself sent you!!! There is, nor will there ever be, any means by which we could express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to you. We simply want you to know that we are eternally grateful and that we take nothing for granted.

YOUR KINDNESSES ARE HIGHLY APPRECIATED AND WARMLY RECEIVED.

Eternally grateful,

Bonnie Walker & Family

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience with my surgery. You’re such a talented and gifted surgeon, but more than that, you are a patient, caring and loving man. My family and I appreciate the personal attention you have give and continue to give. I’m so lucky to have you taking care of me!

Ken Brissa & Family

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

You have been part of our family now for I think over two years, and I have never met you! I am Laurel’s sister, and I want to thank you so deeply for all you have done to be a guardian, medical and spiritual guide on this journey with Laurel. Nanci wanted you to have this obituary as I do also, and I hope even perhaps we might have the chance to meet you on Monday at Laurel’s memorial. If that isn’t possible, I want to thank you from the fullness of my heart and spirit for all your wise, excellent and faith-filled care. We all can’t thank you enough for such a beautiful medical ministry and your many gifts to us.

Most sincerely,

Barbara Anfinsen Eichler

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

I am so grateful to God for sending me to you. You have mended me both in body and spirit. Thank you for the gift of your book. I am an avid reader and am quite into it. I still would like you to sign it for me. I am so sorry for all the hills you had to climb to get where you are today. The Lord has been so good to me, I’ve had a wonderful husband d, family and life. I know he loves you and me.

Love,

Char Gray

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

No words can ever express my gratitude for saving the life of my mom, Zora. She is blessed with the care and continued concern you show for her recovery. I wish there were more doctors like yourself on this earth. You really care about your patients and we are honored to know you. God Bless You Doctor Ghaly!

Dr. Ghaly,

On behalf of my brothers and sisters, I would like to thank you for all you did for our dad. You are truly a blessing from God and you made a difference in our lives. Your compassion and dedication will not be forgotten.

God Bless and Thank you,

Leslie

Dr. Ghaly,

Words can not express our deep appreciation for what you have done for Jim, Deb and our family. You are certainly a saint of Mother Theresa’s, a remarkable man so dedicated to your mission here on earth. We know Jim was let to Rush Copley and to you by God and we are grateful for that blessing. To be led to a surgeon of your caliber. This was such a turning point in Jim’s life and we are happy you are there to lead him through this difficult time. We thank you for your love and concern for Jim, the phone calls, the meeting that you keep so positive. Your faith is tremendous and we know this gives Jim peace of mind because he, too, has great faith.

A friend in Christ,

Esther Boland

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

We would like to express our most sincere gratitude for all of the efforts that you have put forth in our treatment. Just weeks ago, we felt very lost and helpless because nobody offered us any medical advice or positive feedback on the reasoning behind the unexplained seizures, headaches and small growth in the brain. We had never been so scared! For whatever reason God made our paths cross and from the point of our first phone call, you have express a sincere will to help us find answers. Your comforting words, your medical expertise and your determination has lead us to believe that we will overcome this difficult time. No matter what happens from here on, thank you for being that positive person in our lives. Thank you and God Bless

Joel & Myrna Carrera Urbina

I came to your office with Paul Childers yesterday. I don’t want to take up much of your time, but, I do want to take a moment to tell you that I’m so grateful that you’re caring for Paul. He has told me so much about you and the care you’ve taken with him. He has so much confidence in you. Before we got out of the car to see you, Paul and I prayed together that you’d be able to help him, that God would use your hands as his tools to heal him. Prayer is an important part of my life, and when two people come together in His name to pray, I know miracles happen. So, we wanted prayer to be the approach we used to heal his neck. When I met you and felt His peace emanating from you, I could feel God’s answer through you. And because of that, I just want to tell you thanks. Thanks for taking such good care of him before, and again now. I feel very confident that Paul is in the best hands with you. And I know he felt so much better after seeing you yesterday.

Peace and blessings,

Susy

Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you for the flowers, they were beautiful. I really want to thank you for caring so much! Your phone calls helped me see the big picture. Moms in heaven doing what she does best, loving us, watching over our families and receiving her greatest reward. Thank you for almost 2 more years with our mom, if it wasn’t for you, the angels, and my moms spirit we never would have had our special moments, and there were many. God Bless You and your lovely spirit!

Love,

Kathy

Dr. Ghaly,

I just wanted to thank you for all you did for me these past few months, including the back surgery that enabled me to be pain free. I forgot how it felt to not be in such constant pain, and it feels good. I’m glad that you trusted me enough to go through with the surgery, although I understood you needed to cover all your bases. It was just frustrating during the waiting period. Thanks for all of our patience with me and my family and all of our numerous phone call to you. Your compassion for me and my family is (and has been) unbelievable and we can’t thank you enough! Remember the offer still stands for Thanksgiving dinner, we hope you can make it!

Sincerely,

Dorothy Goebig

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

How have you been? I’m doing okay. It has been 8 years since you did my brain surgery. I thank you every day and God above for what you have done. I haven’t had an MRI in 3 years because it costs too much. I don’t have any insurance, even if they gave me half off. We moved to Wilmington, IL, been here for one year. We wanted to ask you if you want to come over for Thanksgiving Dinner. Hope to hear from you soon. Can’t wait to see you.

Love,

Carol, Bill Stamm & Family

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you for the time, care and concern you gave to me during my visit to your office on December 1st. Because I am somewhat of an athlete, I was concerned that I could not continue my life style. I was also concerned that I had a serious problem, whatever that may be. Your patience, thoroughness and willingness to explain everything to me gave me the assurance I needed. I have never met a man so gifted and loving as you. May God bless and keep you and give you a long and healthy life. The world needs people like you.

Sincerely,

Arlene

Dr. Ghaly,

What a fine man you are. Thank you for the successful surgery and love and concern to myself and my family. You are truly a credit to your profession.

God Bless You,

Sally Byro and Family

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

I would personally like to than you for operating on my dear cousin, Marilynne Brady. I live in East TN, so I can’t personally meet up with you to thank you. Our Lord placed Marilynne into your hands, and I suspect you already know the reason……what a Witness you are and will be!

Spiritually concerned for my cousin,

Respectfully,

Marjorie Bryant (retired RN)

Dr. Ghaly,

I just wanted to write a thank you note and tell you how much I appreciate having you as our doctor. I thank you so much for giving me those extra 9 days with my husband when all the other doctors had no hope. If Glenn’s life would have ended that night in the emergency room, I don’t know how I would be coping today. You gave me that time and hope. I felt very much at times he was trying to communicate with me. I got responses nobody else got. The night he passed, I talked to him about 3 hours before everything happened, he did a lot of eye movements, shoulder shrugs, just things I felt like he was trying to tell me he knew I was there and he was hearing me. If you didn’t get called in, I feel another doctor would have just given up. You’ll never know how much I appreciate you, the heart you have, the love for God, you are so special. The hospital was wonderful also. I’ll never forget you. I miss Glenn so much everyday is hard, it hasn’t even been 3 months and it seems like years that he has been gone. We were never apart for 16 years, this is hard.

You are so special,

Linda Walton

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

It is just over a month now that you have performed Dulcinea’s surgery and still I can find few words to adequately express my gratitude to you for guiding us skillfully and favorably through this challenging and life altering event. When Dulcinea called me with the news of “Mom, they found a tumor in my brain and it has to be removed.” I knew that my Heavenly Father would take care of her and He certainly did by leading her to you. Dr. Ghaly, you practice medicine like no other I know. You combine knowledge, skill, compassion, and humility to the case; thus, nurturing not only the patient, but the family as well. I stand amazed by your intense energy and unshakable commitment to your patients. Again, on behalf of my family, I would like to salute you and thank you and your superior team for restoring our Dulcinea to good health. May our Heavenly Father continue to guide you and bless you in providing outstanding health care to your patients in the years ahead.

Sincerely,

Myrna Laugier

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you so very much for your dedication. Your prompt response to my husband’s condition was vital to a favorable outcome. God bless you for your high standards of care – you make everyone strive to do the best one can and as a result the patient certainly benefits. We’re very grateful to have been recipients of your inspired level of care. Thank you for giving my husband back to me. God bless your future endeavors.

Sincerely,

Nanci & Laurel Anfinsen

Hello Dr. Ghaly,

I pray this message finds you well. It has been one short week since my Dad’s funeral. We are all missing him desperately but take comfort in knowing he is at peace with the Lord. I want you to know we are extremely grateful for all you did for my Dad. I don’t think anyone could have taken better care of him with such an open mind and positive outlook. You were always there for him no matter where he was including his Rehab and all of his hospital stays. Making sure the nurses and doctors were taking special care of him was your goal and words can’t express how much we appreciate that from you. Not only did you take care of my Dad, but you consistently tried to make my family’s lives less complicated with the best informed decisions we needed to make with the short time we had. We all know you tried your best with what God gave you to work with. This case just happened to be more aggressive than we all imagined. You are a special surgeon because everything that comes from Dr. Ghaly is strictly from the heart and soul. The Good Lord has blessed you immensely with a gift to bring to others and you should take comfort in knowing that. We wish you well and if our paths should cross again, than we know God brought you back to us for a reason. Many blessings to you and God grant you strength and peace.

God Bless,

Andrea Forte

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

I just wanted to thank you for everything that you have done for me. I really appreciate the time and care you have given me. There was no other doctor who took the time that you took to understand my pain and to help me understand my pain. You were the only doctor I felt I could trust to operate on me. This surgery was a very difficult decision for me, I really feel that you listened to my concerns and did everything in your power to help me. The care that you gave me after the surgery was wonderful. I was amazed that you visited me twice within 14 hours after performing a 7 hour surgery on me. I also felt very comforted knowing that you were consistently calling the hospital to check on me during my stay at the hospital. There are not many doctors like you (in fact, I do not know any that could compare), you have a true gift in helping your patients physically and emotionally. If it was not for you, I know I would still be in a lot of pain, feeling frustrated and causing further damage to my body. I feel very fortunate to have found an excellent doctor such as yourself. You have helped me get my life back physically and emotionally, this I will never forget! I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done for me. You are very talented at your profession and I hope that you will continue to help others as you have helped me. Your selflessness is very much appreciated.

Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you so much for all of the time and loving care you took with our family. God gave you a wonderful gift not just with your hands but also with your heart. You are a special doctor and person and my father was grateful to you for taking on his special situation. Our family will be forever thankful that you came into our lives.

Melissa Forte

Dr. Ghaly,

I must thank you with all I have! Your work is truly inspiring. I owe you and my God so much! I am truly blessed. I have the exciting opportunity to review, evaluate and apply all of my energy in a new and righteous direction, (and I will). I wouldn’t be honest if I didn’t tell that I am a little scared, I am. But I look at that as a good thing. I have also been offered the opportunity to experience and see what wonderful people my parents are. Once again, I am so blessed! It has also been a great opportunity to re-connect with my immediate family. It has been enjoyable and will continue. Regards to me, I am moving in the right direction. Some days are more difficult. When I see the photographs of how I looked, I can’t believe my eyes. As you know, it will take continued strength and effort to get back to 100%, the way I was. I am aware that it is a normal part of the process, but it will happen! Please know in your mind that I am fine and will be successful. Please continue doing what you do and is obvious what you are good at! I will continue to keep you up to date. Thanks again so much!

Jack Warland

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

How can we ever thank you for the marvelous way you treated Jim and prolonged his life for all of us, especially the children. You became a beloved member of the family as you gave all of us hope and inspiration to hold on to as well as keeping in touch with family on a daily basis. We often commented on how surprised we were, with your busy schedule, that you were able to spend so much time with us. We are very grateful. I know it meant a lot to Jim as he grew closer and closer to you. I especially remember one Sunday evening when you drove many miles to come out and reinsert Jim’s feeding tube and concluded by giving him a kiss on the forehead and hand. Dr. Ghaly we dearly love you and respect all you do.

God bless you.

Love,

Joe & Esther

Dr. Ghaly,

There are no words to describe the compassion you gave my whole family during this past week’s struggle with Dean’s brain tumor situation. I have met neurosurgeons before and appreciate their skill; however you are like no other. Your skill is coming from your heart and not just your education as a surgeon. Please keep our family in your prayers and know that you will always have a special place in the hearts of the Abrahamson family.

Always,

Jayne

Hello Dr. Ghaly,

I wanted to tell you thanks for everything you did for me. Thank God and you, I’m doing very well. I am married and going to start having kids. My wife is in med school and now she is doing papers on all my surgeries. The one she is most excited about is my tumor that I had in my brain. That’s the paper she is writing about now. I was wondering if you can e-mail me the type of tumor I had. I know you told me the name of it but I can not recall which one it was. If you can, that would be great and I know she already did research on you, and it came back that you are the best at what you do and its because you are not in it for the money, you are in it to save lives… God Bless you for what you do.

Thanks again for everything,

Alex Gonzalez

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

We would like to thank you for all that you have done for Stephen and our family. No words will ever be able to express the deep gratitude we have for you. Thank you for helping our family while we experienced the most difficult situation in our lives.

“Their purpose is to prove that your faith is genuine. Even gold, which can be destroyed, is tested by fire; and so your faith, which is much more precious than gold, must also be tested, so that it may endure. Then you will receive praise and glory and honor on the Day when Jesus Christ is revealed.” (Peter 1:7)

You supported our family when our faith was tested. After enduring much sadness, we now are overwhelmed with joy that God has answered our prayers. Thank you for supporting us during this time. You will always be considered an angel to us. We will always keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you continue your life by helping others through God’s work. May God continue to bless you always!

Love,

The Schott Family

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

I just wanted to say thank you for all you have done for my dad and all you continue to do for my mom. Aside from being a talented surgeon, you also possess a quality not many doctors have these days, compassion. Every nurse we spoke with at Rush Copley had nothing but the highest praise for you. The fact that you called my mom every morning while my dad was in the hospital and kept close tabs on him spoke volumes. It also gave my mother a great deal of peace at a time when there wasn’t much to be had. Another thin the nursing staff raved about was your hands-on approach with your patients. And we saw that as well. My dad is at Rest haven, as you probably know. I’m not sure where we are headed from here. Our hope, my hope is that he is mobile again so he can come home. I’m not sure how realistic that is but I won’t give up. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate what you did for my dad and our family. You’re an amazing person and we were very lucky to have crossed paths with you.

Sincerely,

Maureen Gilhooly

Dear Doctor Ghaly,

We appreciate your time, effort and care shown to Alex during his hospitalization period. It was your hands that helped him to recover and your kindness that cheered up his spirit. Thank you very much. God Bless you and your family.

Very truly,

Alex and Natalie

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

I write you on behalf of my family/my sister, Josephine Chapman. As we were again met with very difficult challenges and choices recently concerning Josephine’s health, you again relieved us of an astronomical amount of stress.

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Words can never express how much you have meant to our family. The Lord blessed us and Don the night of December 1st when you came to the hospital and took over with him. There just aren’t Doctor’s that have been as caring like you have been. We are eternally grateful to you. You are truly a blessing to your patients and their families. Also, Amy is such a caring nurse and she is a wonderful person. Thank you again Dr. Ghaly and May God Bless you always.

Carlene Lindo & Family

Ramsis, I call you by your given name because at this time two weeks after meeting you, I think of you as a brother and best friend. Also, because I feel blessed to have been treated by one of Gods finest, and most precious instruments.

Bless You and Thank You,

Tony F. Meads and Family

Thank you so much for saving my Mom’s life. You saved her so she would be there for my birthday on the 31st. I can’t stop thanking you.

Thank you so much,

Danielle

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Both Clair and I feel very fortunate to have you in our lives. I believe that through you God shows us His Love. You will always be on our prayers.

Nancy & Clair Yount

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

I don’t know if you remember my father or my family. My father Ronald Bright was a patient of yours at Silver Cross Hospital around 10 years ago when he suffered a brain aneurysm. Sir, I have been through many medical problems lately myself and I compare or expect all of my doctors to meet up to your standards and caring of their patients. Needless to say, I have not yet met one. You have been the only doctor I have ever respected and trusted after the way you cared not only for my father, but my entire family, especially when my mother Pamela was sick and you took the time to visit her. I thank you for that so much. My father is having many problems with his left leg or foot turning in very badly to where he can no longer walk or stand. We have gone to many podiatrists and to his GP and the brace company and they just all blame each other one way or another. I am at the end of my string, no one seems to want to help or even try to help him. I am now alone taking care of him after my mother passed, it’s very hard. I’m wondering if you could recommend to me what to do or someone that would be willing to help him. Thank you for taking the time out to read this and I hope to hear back from you.

Thank you,

Keith Bright

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Every day when I see Kristin’s beautiful smile and sparkling eyes, I feel the tears come and I say a prayer unto our God for you. You gave us a new beginning to our lives. We always intended to have a party or a dinner in your honor. Unfortunately we could not recover from our job loss and financial hardship. I just had to say “Thank You” for saving and healing Kristin. It is and always will be the greatest blessing we have received. I pray our Lord will bless you in many ways.

David

Dr. Ghaly,

“Simple goodness- what you see… what you feel… what you give to others.

Thank you for taking extra time and caring about my health problem. I appreciate so much the kind consideration as you directed me in the right direction. May God bless you as you continue to bless others. – Carol Christian

Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you for everything. I am so glad to have met you, even under the circumstance. I’m glad to know people like you still exist, you have been an inspiration. Your words have not gone unheard!

Thank you,

Brandon Berry

Dr. Ghaly,

I just wanted to thank you for all of the wonderful care you provided for me over the past year. If not for your help, information and tremendous skill I feel that I would not have been able to have found the correct treatment for my variety of conditions. Thank you for looking at the entire person instead of just the part that is your specialty. You helped steer me in the right direction to get me back on the path to good health. You are truly a special individual and doctor. If all doctors adopted your philosophy and compassion it would make the field of medicine a far better profession. Although I hope not to be in need of your service anytime in the near future, it is a great comfort to know that you are out there!

Sincerely,

Kim Kinnas

Thank you for everything,

Jerry & Barb Neiel

Dr. Ghaly,

“Warm and special thanks to you for all the considerate things you do. God Bless You! To thank you for the kindness that you took the time to show and to tell you that it meant much more than you will ever know.”

Loretta

Dear Ramsis,

What a welcome sight you were to see at the end of my dad’s wake. I know you had to move mountains to be there. Please know it meant a great deal to not only me, but to the rest of my family. Thank you for coming and for your periodic calls to see how I’m doing. Among the many lessons my dad taught me was the value of friendship. Thank you for being such a good friend to me and my family.

Love, Patti and family

My Dearest Dr. Ghaly,

My husband, Ron and I prayed for “not just any doctor” but a doctor with a “passion”. God sent us to you. I will be seeing you again at the office at the end of this month but I would just like to let you know that since my surgery, I have not had ANY leg pain what so ever! Just a short two months ago I could hardly walk! It is nothing short of a miracle! Praise be to God for His blessings! And praise be to God for you!

Your Sister in God,

Tracey Peterson

Dr. Ghaly,

You are an exception among Doctors. I was so lucky to find you. Without your help and support to find the cause of pain, I would have given up. We are not through this yet, as the pain in my side persists, but I will keep the faith it will be taken care of. Thank you for your prayers and care.

Doris Morello

Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you so much, With my deepest gratitude and sincerity, my family and I will always appreciate what you’ve done for my Father. From one man to another, Thank you sir. God Bless you and your loved ones. May you continue to alleviate and end human suffering. You are a good man.

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you for being the best doctor!!! Your care, God and my mother’s desire to live saved her life and brought happiness to the entire Munoz family. We love you and wish you the best in life!

Sincerely,

The Munoz Family

Dr. Ghaly,

My name is Brett Watland, and you performed back surgery on my herniated disc back in November. I just wanted to send heart-felt thanks your way. I truly appreciate everything you and your staff did for me. You were very helpful in explaining everything that was going to happen, and made me feel comfortable with going under the knife. Obviously you’re an incredibly skilled and gifted physician, and I think your faith is in a higher power that helped with my trust in you and this whole endeavor. I hit the physical therapy hard, and continue with stretching and strengthening exercises at home, and I believe I’m recovering well. I realize I’ll never be the same as I used to be, but I’d say I’m about 85% or so, and compared to those agonizing months before surgery, it’s an incredible difference. It’s so nice to do normal, average; everyday things again without pain, not to mention being almost back to full capacity at work again. (although I’ve learned not to work so hard or lift so much any more). Hey, I’m not sure if you remember, but my wife was pregnant when I went through surgery. Jacob Allen was born on April 16, so I enclosed a couple pictures for you. Once again, my sincerest thanks,

Brett Watland

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

God Bless You! Thank you so very much for your great skill and special loving care of my brother, Dennis Ryan! Your patience and understanding with all of Dennis’ family is always genuinely appreciated. Our confidence in your ability is unwavering which makes everything so much less stressful. “May you be blessed by the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 115.15 Thank you for all you do!

Love,

Peggy Blackmon

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

There are no words to express my appreciation to you for your love, kindness, and constant caring for me during my illness, and now on a daily basis. Your calls, visits, and concern when I was hospitalized and at home made my heart glad we are friends and that you truly care for me and my family. I am so glad I have gotten to know you. You have my husband’s and my appreciation and adoration forever. You have a special place in my heart, and that will never fade. I believe God wants us to be friends, and I will always respect, love and be grateful that our paths in life have crossed. Thank you again for everything. You are a true blessing to me and my family.

Sincerely,

M. Peterson

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

We cannot thank you enough for everything that you have done for Don and all our family. We know that you did not have to come the night of Don’s stroke and we all are eternally grateful to you. God bless you always.

Carline Lindo and all our family.

Dr. Ghaly, You are truly a godsend. I truly believe that you saved our father’s/grandpa’s life on December 1st. Your compassion for your patients and families is remarkable. Your positive demeanor and positive but honest communication is beyond reproach. Thanks for being so willing to go the extra mile. You are a gift to us and I’m sure to all of “your family”. You are a credit to the world of medicine.

Mark

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

Thank you for the beautiful flowers sent to Mike’s services. Your thoughtfulness was very touching. I also want to tell you how grateful I am for all you did for Mike and myself during his illness. All of the phone calls, questions, prescriptions, changes and daily updates we put you through!! You were patient, kind and concerned. Mike and I shared two months together at home in peace and love and your support and direction helped make these months a reality. The hospice staff was skeptical about a neurosurgeon managing a patient dying at home. I reassured them you were perfect for Mike and they came to find out that I was right. You were perfect for Mike and I will always be thankful for your caring and medical expertise.

Sincerely,

Babs Arndt

Dr. Ghaly,

“There have been times when you didn’t have any time, and yet, you took the time. There have been times when you had enough cares of your own, and yet, you cared… There have been times when you had given all you had to give, and yet, you kept on giving.”

Thank you. God Bless you,

Ron Wisely’s (mom) Mrs. Baker

Dr. Ghaly,

We purchased this Holy Spirit Crucifix for you at Holy Hill, a national shrine, in Wisconsin, where people come to pray for healing. We wanted to find some way to say thank you for the ultimate gift of life. In you we see not only a skilled surgeon but a true healer of the whole person. The kindness you have extended to our family will never be forgotten.

Fondly,

The Benjamin Family

Dr. Ghaly,

Dr. Ghaly,

You are the miracle that creates more miracles. I found one in you and you found one in me. God has truly blessed us all!

Love always,

Melissa VanDyke

Dr. Ghaly,

For your kindness and for being the doctor that discovered the tumor. Truth is, words can’t express the gratitude I feel for having met you. You are a true blessing. And may the wind always be behind your back.

Tony and Cynthia

Dear Dr. Ghaly,

I can’t even begin to tell you how you changed my life. Saying “thank you” is not enough to show what is in my heart as well as my family’s hearts. You are the most amazing person as well as doctor I have ever met. You showed me I could trust doctors again. You also took away a lot of the pain which made me so angry. I want to thank you from my heart.

Love,

Michelle Tomczak

Merry Christmas. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season. Many thanks, once again, for taking charge of my medical care. Thanks to you I’m feeling much better and not so hopeless about my future. I’m now under the care of competent doctors who will keep an eye on my health care. I can’t praise you enough. God Bless you and Merry Christmas.
